  1. Why is Cortaflex so effective?
Glucosamine and Chondroitin molescules are often difficult to absorb due to their larger size. Cortaflex is formulated from smaller molecules including the following isolates, amino acids and co-enzymes - Glutamine, Glutamic Acid, Glucuronic Acid, Glycine and Proline. These smaller molecules are efficiently absorbed at high levels, allowing the joint to get more of the nutrients it needs to repair the cartilage and maintain good joint health.

Cortaflex uses the latest knowledge in human bio-scientific understanding to provide one of the new generation natural supplements.

Cortaflex is a breakthrough in the natural treatment of joint mobility and joint maintenance, as it stimulates the body to produce it’s own human Glucosamine and Chondrotin making Cortaflex the most important joint health supplement in years!

  2. How does Cortaflex work?
Cortaflex avoids all the absorption problems of Glucosamine and Chondroitin by using the smaller particles that make up Glucosamine and Chondroitin – Glutamine, Glutamic Acid, Glucuronic Acid, Glycine and Proline. The isolates are much smaller molecules, which are easily absorbed by the body. These key refined pharmaceutical-grade isolates, amino acids and co-enzymes, stimulate the body to make its own Glucosamine and Chondroitin naturally and provide the building blocks to do it with.

Cortaflex is a breakthrough in the natural treatment of joint injury and joint maintenance - the most important joint health supplement in years!

  3. How many Cortaflex capsules should I take and how often?

At Natural Health we have conducted extensive research into how to get the best out of the Cortaflex range. The results vary from person to person as it takes time for your body to absorb and use the Cortaflex nutrients, yet most people will notice a gradual improvement over several weeks. The following programme has been highly successful with almost everyone who tried it:
    • Initially we recommend taking 2 Cortaflex HA capsules per day (one in the morning after breakfast and one in the evening after dinner)
    • After 2 weeks, this can be reduced to 1 tablet per day
    • The maximum benefit will be achieved in 6 weeks to 3 months. If your joint condition is severe, we recommend you stay on Cortaflex HA, as it is the stronger of the two Cortaflex formulas. Cortaflex HA also includes Hyaluronic Acid, a key component of synovial fluid that helps to provide the nutrients needed to keep joints flexible and healthy.
    • If after 6 months you find your improvement has stabilised, you could consider moving onto to Cortaflex that can be used as a maintenance dose. If you do this please carefully monitor the results to ensure that the benefit derived from the Cortaflex HA does not erode over time. In the event that this should happen, we would suggest taking Cortaflex HA.

Ideally your first order should be for 2 tubs of Cortaflex HA which will last for 6 weeks following the above programme.

Remember that as a member of Natural Health club, we reward our customers with loyalty discounts, so the more you order, the more you save!

Cortaflex HA contains the smaller particles that make up Glucosamine and Chondroitin - Glutamine, Glutamic Acid, Glucuronic Acid, Glycine and Proline – which are more effectively absorbed at high levels. This allows the joints to get more of the nutrients it needs to repair the cartilage and maintain good joint health. Cortaflex HA also includes Hyaluronic Acid, a major component of joint lubricating fluid, to help your body protect and maintain healthy cartilage and synovial fluid.

  8. I donít have any trouble with my joints, why would I take Cortaflex?
Cortaflex and Cortaflex HA are not drugs, they are natural dietary supplements for joint health. You do not need to have any joint problems to take Cortaflex. It is a completely natural supplement that gives your joints the nutrients they need to maintain healthy cartilage and synovial fluid.

Cortaflex and Cortaflex HA can be taken by people of any age and in any physical condition as it is a natural dietary supplement and there are no known side effects. Many sportsmen take Cortaflex supplements to maintain joint health and protect against injury, including some premier football teams.

  9. Why is Hyaluronic Acid in Cortaflex HA?
Hyaluronic Acid is a key component of synovial fluid and is found in the synovium layer around the joints and in cartilage. It is a glycosaminoglycan that helps to provide the nutrients needed to keep joints flexible and healthy. It is also found in the vitreous humor of the eye and the subcutaneous layer of the skin. It has been sighted as having major anti-ageing properties particularly with the joints and skin.

Changes to the Hyaluronic Acid within cartilage lead to a degeneration of the cartilage. Replacing the Hyaluronic Acid improves the quality of the synovial fluid and cartilage which keeps the joints healthy. As a result of these huge benefits Cortaflex HA is fortified with Hyaluronic Acid.

  10. What is the difference between Human, Canine and Feline, and Equine Cortaflex?
There are three types of Cortaflex – Human Cortaflex, Canine and Feline Cortaflex and finally Equine Cortaflex.

Each of the three types of Cortaflex has a fundamentally different formulation, as each species have different nutritional requirements.

Equine Cortaflex has higher levels of copper advantageous to horses that would not be favourable for dogs. They are also blended to be attractive to the intended species; the equine Cortaflex is alfalfa flavoured, the canine and feline is beef and liver flavoured and the human Cortaflex comes in capsule form.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Human Cortaflex should ONLY be used by Human’s.

Canine & Feline Cortaflex should ONLY be used for Cats and Dogs.

Equine Cortaflex should ONLY be used for Horses.

  12. How do I take Manuka Honey?

Naturally Active Manuka Honey from New Zealand can be consumed in several different ways, offering you the choice to take Manuka Honey in whichever way suits you best.

    Off the spoon

This is the best way to take Manuka Honey as it allows you to get the maximum amount of Manuka Honey into your system without dilution.

For those who cannot eat Manuka Honey off the spoon, you can also take it:

    On toast or cereal

Spread it on toast or add it to cereal and eat as normal. At Natural Health, we have a specific range of Manuka Honey with fruit which tastes more like jam than honey and offers both the Manuka Honey properties and the anti-oxidant properties of the fruit.  Click here for our Fruit Manuka Honey range

    Drink it

Use it as a sweetener in tea, coffee or flavoured tea.  Alternatively, dilute a teaspoonful in a little warm water (about a third of a mug/cup) and drink as normal either hot or cold.  DO NOT add Manuka Honey to Boiling water as it will kill the natural active enzymes contained in the Honey – always allow the Hot Water to cool first before adding to Manuka Honey.

    Direct application to a wound

If you are using Manuka Honey for an open wound, put an amount that is representative to the depth of the wound and then cover it with a dressing which will allow the natural enzymes to do their work without interference.

  16. What is the significance of the + numbers?

All Manuka Honey is tested in laboratories to the Unique Manuka Factor level, prior to receiving certification of its plus (+) number.

The Plus number signifies the level of active natural enzymes within the honey.  The higher the Plus number, the more active the honey and therefore the more potent and effective the Manuka Honey will be.

As a guideline we generally suggest that you use different strengths for different reasons:

    5+        8+        10+

Use this strength for good general health

    12+      15+      16+
